Norma Chiles went to be with the Lord Aug. 2 in Tucson where she had lived for 12 years. At 91 she is survived by her son Jay of Tucson, his wife, their four children and three great-grandchildren; her brother Tom Threlkeld of Prescott; and two nephews. Norma invested her life into so many. I am grateful to be among those. Prayer meetings, Bible studies and many phone conversations. Jay, having your mom and dad as friends was a precious time in the liife of my husband and I. Their influence remains. God bless you and your family.

To Jay and family I send my heartfelt prayer for comfort as I learn of your mother's passing. A true Woman of Faith, there is joy knowing that she is with Jim and Richard in the presence of the Almighty. Your brother and I were friends and "Sunday School Buddies" as children. Jamie... Love and prayers from the Williams family who lived/live across the street from them. Your Grandma and Grandpa were both so very kind to us growing up. Playing with you when you came down to visit them was a fond memory that came to mind when I saw your Grandma's obituary. Mom and Dad send their love and prayers.

So sad to hear of Norma's passing, but rejoicing that I will see her again. She was a great mentor to me during my High School years. She knew Jesus so well, and prayed with me many times when I needed encouraging or guidance. What a heritage of faith she has left behind for her family and friends.
