Norma Valdez Florencia, 60, entered the Lord's heavenly kingdom peacefully, Monday morning, May 5, 2025 at Solara Hospital in Harlingen, Texas.


Norma was born on March 18, 1965 in Monte Morelos, N.L., Mexico to Braulio Valdez & Maria Guadalupe Garcia Valdez.


Norma was an amazing & fierce woman of God with strong faith and a prayer warrior. She loved to dance, sing karaoke, decorate, and enjoyed fishing. Norma was also a volunteer firefighter with the S.R.V.F.D.


She is preceded in death by her father, Braulio Valdez; and siblings, Sonia Rangel, Braulio Alberto Valdez, & Hilda Valdez.


Norma leaves behind her loving family to cherish her beautiful memory, her beloved husband of 42 years, Javier Florencia; children, Norma Longoria (Amancio), Anna Florencia (Julian Lumbreras), Marisol Florencia (Damian Perez), Javier Florencia Jr. (Leslie Perez), & Julie Lozano (Michael); 17 grandchildren; mother, Maria Guadalupe Valdez; siblings, Romaldo Valdez & her twin sister, Noemi Valdez, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Norma was a wonderful, loving, & devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, & friend who will be missed dearly.


Visitation will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the prayer of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.


A funeral procession will depart Friday, May 9, 2025, from Trinity Funeral Chapel at 9:30 a.m. for a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, Texas.


Interment will follow to Santo Nombre Cemetery in Santa Rosa, Texas.


Honored to serve as her pallbearers will be Damien Perez, Amancio Longoria, Julian Lumbreras, Javier Florencia Jr., Jaime Rangel, & Michael Lozano.
