Not sure what to say?

Ms. Foote was an outstanding teacher. As a research scientist and professor, I still use the things she taught me while I was a student at Brecksville High in the 1970s.

All of us in the Cuyahoga Heights High school class of 1960 loved Norma very much!

Norma was my mother's first cousin. Her father was my grandmother's brother. I was saddened to hear of her passing. We did not see each other often. (a few family reunions and funerals). It was heart warming to read about the impact she made on so many people during her teaching career. May she rest in peace.

I was so saddened to hear of Norma's passing. She was a friend and colleague of mine long ago when we both taught English at Brecksville High School in the 1970s, I will always remember Norma as kind and helpful to all, not only her students, but also her close friends on the faculty and staff at the high school. God bless you my dear friend.

Ms. Foote is the reason I have been teaching high school English for the past 23 years. She truly was an inspiration. So sad.

My thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Ms. Foote. She was a teacher I will always remember from my days at Brecksville High. I can only imagine the number of students she inspired over the years! She definitely made a difference in the lives of many.
With fond memories,
donna Hicho (Class of '75)

Back in 1990, when I was a student in her Expository Prose class, Ms. Foote informed me that I "wrote like a lawyer." She was being (appropriately) critical; she was also prescient. Ms. Foote, through her thoughtful, patient, and duly critical instruction in the art of writing, did more to prepare me more for college than any other teacher I had in high school. She also helped me develop skills that I use on a daily basis in my work as a lawyer. She continues to inspire me to write less...

Having been a neighbor of Norma's for many years, her cats, travels, love of the Cleveland Indians, and neighborly chats will always be in my heart. Rest well dear Norma.
