Norma Jean was one of the cheeriest ladies I have ever known. We always chuckled over the UNF Jazz Concert we attended featuring Woody Herman. A reception was held immediately after the event in honor of Mr. Herman who was confined to a wheelchair. Immediately after he rolled in, Norma Jean went right up to him and announced, I'm Norma Jean. Not to be outdone, he responded,I'm Woody. I expect he was delighted and a little overwhelmed to be approached by the lovely and gregarious Norma Jean....
