Norma GRAY Obituary
Born on Aug. 1, 1915 in Walla Walla, WA to Carmen and Bailey Maxwell. She passed away peacefully on Nov. 21, 2011 at her home in Shingle Springs. Norma was raised on a sheep ranch in Imnaha, OR and began her teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse. She met and married Don Gray, who passed away in 1971. She was a fantastic and devoted mother and grandmother; her family was her pride and joy. She is preceded in death by her husband; her daughter Elaine Gray-Benvenuti; and her brothers, Bill and Marvin. She is survived by her children, Richard (Linda), Steven (Vicki), Robert (Terri); her brother Bud; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-7pm Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at Mount Vernon Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Ln., Fair Oaks, CA 95628. Services will be 12pm Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 also at Mount Vernon. Thank you grandma for remembering Braden's birthday and calling him this year. We will both always remember your love and compassion. What a great life you had. We will always miss you, but never forget everything you taught and shared with us.
Please tell Brad I miss him, and keep an eye on him until we meet again. Love you Grandma!!

Someone once said " it is not how or when you die, but rather how you lived your life" well i believe my Great Grandma lived a full and happy life. we all will miss you and never will forget you. I was so lucky to not only to have called her Grandma, I also got to call her my friend. I will miss our conversations and our little jokes. She loved family and she loved visiting. Such an amazing lady. I'll miss you Grandma but know that you are so happy to finally be with Grandpa and Elaine again. Love you so much!
