On Sunday, May 18, 2025, Norma Lou Maue passed away at the age of 76 at home in Manistee.
Norma was born on February 19, 1949, in Bath, New Brunswick, Canada, to Joyce and Lewis Lloyd. She was the youngest of five children. When Norma was around 11 years old, their family moved to the United States to join her uncle, who lived in the Manistee area. Norma attended Manistee Public Schools starting in the sixth grade.
Norma went on to work for West Shore Hospital for over 20 years. She enjoyed 30 years with her husband, Bill Maue. They loved to be outdoors, feeding the animals, fishing, and hunting deer and turkeys. They truly enjoyed each other's company, no matter what they were doing,
Norma Maue is survived by her husband, Bill Maue; her son, Lloyd Andersen; her step-children, Billy Maue and Kim Maue; her siblings, Eloise (Chuck) Hindman and Wilfred Lloyd; numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren also survive her.
Norma was preceded in death by her sons, Chris Andersen and Mark Andersen; her parents; her sister, Carol Ozmach; and a young brother, Everett Lloyd.
Visitation for Norma will be held on Monday afternoon, June 9, 2025, at the Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee from 3 to 4 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Painted Lady beginning at 4 p.m.
