I knew the Perlstein family in the 1960's when I attended Stamford High with Jane. The family was always welcoming and warm every time I visited their home. During our senior year they hosted the AFS exchange student. As it turned out, I took Hazel to senior prom. The thing I remember most about Mrs. Perlstein and the family was how intellectual and well read they were. I was first introduced to Commentary Magazine by them. I was saddened when I learned of Norma's passing. She and her family were our neighbors back in the 50's. Unfortunately we lost touch. I hope her family will accept my deepest sympathy. Janis Bender

What an amazing life! Norma was an inspiration. Janis still lives in Stamford and let me know Norma had died. I have clear memories of our family get togethers and Seders at your house.
