TAYLOR, Norma Eva Of Burton, Michigan was born on November 17, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan. She passed away at the age of 83 on Friday, December 12, 2014 at McLaren Lapeer Regional Medical Center from cancer. Visitation will be held at 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, on Monday, December 15, 2014. A Rosary will be prayed at 7pm Monday at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. On Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, Michigan, Father Tim MacDonald officiating. Mrs. Taylor will be at the church from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the Mass. She was a dedicated and beloved volunteer for 31 years at the American Red Cross for the Genesee-Lapeer Chapter. Over those 31 years at the Red Cross she acquired many friends that then became more like family to her. She enjoyed Nascar and that number 24 driver, Jeff Gordon along with her Detroit Tigers. She loved her furry cat friend Kiki who kept her company in her home. Norma was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Burton. She survived her husband, Don Richard Taylor as well as her father, Grandon Secor and her mother, Nita Phoebe Secor. Norma is predeceased by her twin brother, Roy Holmes Secor of Lapeer, Michigan. Also surviving are her two nieces, Julianne Chambers and Suzanne Secor along with many great nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews. The Taylor side of Norma's family she is survived by Bruce and Steven Taylor and Karen Hull along with many other nieces and nephews.
