Not sure what to say?

Harriet and all of Norm's family... I am so sorry for your loss, not to mention the loss for all of us! I enjoyed the time I spent with Norm and, you, Harriet. Mostly, I will always remember how he didn't like to come in the stores while we shopped! He made up for the time he spent on the sidewalk by catching up over meals -- covering everything from politics to travel and mostly a lot of humor. I will miss him, and am saddened for your loss... Love, Mona

I was shocked and saddened to hear today of Norman's passing. He truly had a zest for life and he embraced every moment of it. I met Norm through his wonderful wife, Harriet. Norm welcomed me into his world with his humor and warmth. Everyone was drawn to him...he had such a way with his smile and laughter to brighten everyone's day. Harriet, if there is anything we can do to lighten your sadness, please let us know.

I have known norman almost 13 years. I met him at BelAir in the deli. We became fast friends and soon I felt like family. He has a great wife and daughter that I was so greatful to met and a grandchild that I can't wait to see in person. We always joked about running off together, but he said Harriet wouldn't like it, I said bring her in she will love me, and I think she does.:) I can't tell you all how much I miss him, he was like a dad and I thank his family for sharing him with me. I...

To all of Norm’s family, I would like to express my deepest condolences. I always enjoyed my conversations with Norm about politics and economics. We even shared a few jokes. He was truly a special person and will be missed for sure.

To Norm's Family:

I knew and worked with Norm in Santa Rosa at Pacific Telephone. He was great to work with and always made work enjoyable because of his sense of humor. He will be missed.

Norm grew up in San Francisco's Mission district in the tough old days.
I met him when he moved to Napa in 1951. He, Greg Bickford and I fished rainbow and steelhead all the way from Humboldt to Bodega in the summer of 1952. Every lake, stream and river. Norm had a 1939 Plymouth 4 door that burned as much oil as it did gas but got us there. Some great adventures for all 3 of us. Norm would have liked siblings but made up for it with his kids and grandkids. Always happy-go-lucky, Norm...
