Not sure what to say?

Mr Bequette was a great teacher, a great man, and a beacon of light for his students. He brought out the best in his students, challenged us to think, when we would get too full yourselves he gently brought us down to Earth, and always helped us focus on what we needed to do to be a success in life. We had several outstanding teachers at Woodward Elementary but only one Mr Bequette.

I remember Mr. Bequette checking our 8th grade backyard gardens during lunch hours, and our Girl Scout troop spending a day at the farm. He let us think we were helping. He certainly touched a lot of lives. I am sorry for your loss.

Mr. Bequette taught history when I was in 8th grade, I have wonderful memories of Woodward and my classes there. "Map Game" was my favorite part of the class. Karen (Hemmerla) Jaros - Woodward class of '75.

My family moved to the area the year I started 8th grade at Woodward. I don't think my other school had male teachers. So it was different experience. He was a stickler for penmanship and would always correct you grammar. But he had a dry sense of humor, and commanded a great deal of respect. Back then kids listened for the most part. (1969) He even came to 8th grade reunion we had in the 80's. We will always remember him. Becky Hudson
