Peppler Funeral Home - Allentown Obituary

Norman J. Bird Jr., 75, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Hamilton Township. He was born, raised and lived in Allentown his entire life. He was a self-employed truck driver, prior to working for EME Excavating in New Egypt, NJ. He was an avid race car enthusiast and enjoyed working with multiple race teams. Norman loved his family and was a good husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Christina Margaret Bird; his two sons, Ronald and his wife, Jennifer and Larry and his fiancé, Jennifer Ocsack and three grandsons, John, Matthew and Adam Bird.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Norman's name. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown, NJ.
