INTERMENT St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery Fairville, Iowa Norman J. Bollinger, the son of Kenneth and Hilda (Wichtendahl) Bollinger was born August 12, 1939, in Fenton, Iowa and departed this life on Friday, June 6, 2008, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona, Iowa, at the age of 68. He received his education in the Lotts Creek Parochial School and later Fenton High School. Norman then attended automotive trade school in Omaha, Nebraska. On June 21, 1959, he was united in marriage to Joan Cushing at Fairville. Norman worked at Lotts Creek Creamery before he began farming. The couple farmed and lived in the Lone Rock and Fenton areas. Joan passed away July 30, 1990. For hobbies Norman enjoyed fast pitch softball in his younger days, and was a huge Cubs fan. Norman was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Fairville; a volunteer fireman; and was very active in A.A. on the state and local levels. Left to cherish Norman's memory are his children, Debra Rouse and her husband, Gary of Ayrshire, Iowa; Kris Nowland of St. Petersburg, Florida; five grandchildren, Kyle Rouse and his wife, Jamie, Amanda and Erin Rouse; Alyson Nowland and Josh Lieb; mother-in-law, Verdelle Hantelman of Fenton; two brothers-in-law, Allen Hantelman of Victoria, Texas; Tom Cushing of Spencer, Iowa; and two sisters-in-law, Renee Hassel of Victoria, Texas and Darlene Bollinger of Fenton. He has been preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Susan who died November 8, 1986; sister, Carol; brother, Wayne and son-in-law, Bob Nowland.
