Not sure what to say?

Vanilla, grown on my farm to Mr. Childers specifications. His legacy is the future of Puerto Rico.

Like so many others I am grateful for the research and writing he did related to diet and arthritis as it personally saved me.

I met Doc Childers as an undergraduate at Rutgers in 1955. He was the ultimate "student's" professor. He always had an encouraging word and did what ever he could to push you to reach a higher level of interest in horticulture. In 1959 I applied to Cornell University as a graduate student. In the Scriptures it saids that in the future God will swallow up death and he will wipe all the tears from...

I was so very proud of all you have accomplished Uncle Norman. You will be deeply missed. You were one of a kind and living a full 100 years is a accomplishment in itself.

I remember sitting with Dr. Childers to proof read his book on the nightshades. I learned a lot in that short period of time.

My deepest sympathy to his family, but know how many people he touched in such a positive way.

I remember Dr. Childers from my days at the Somerset Messenger Gazette. His book on nighshades was our common ground. My sympathies to his family.

Our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Dr. Childers. He leaves behind a great legacy, and sets such an example of a life well lived.
