ANSONIA — Norman E. Christian, age 59, of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2017, at his residence.
Norman was born October 25, 1957, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Forest E. and Eileen H. (Barge) Christian. In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Lee Christian.
Norman is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Mamazza of Ansonia; significant other, Angela Holmes of Ansonia, and her children, Kaylee Holmes and Ethan Holmes; grandchildren, Skyler Lyme and Kelsey Mamazza; brother and sister-in-law, Ivan and Sheila Christian of Versailles, Ohio; sister, Joann Christian of Greenville; and a niece, Amanda Christian of Bradford, Ohio.
Norman worked at Whirlpool Corporation in Greenville and formerly worked at Lambert Corporation in Ansonia. He was an avid sports enthusiast, supporting the Ansonia Tigers, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, Bill Elliott and NASCAR. Norman really enjoyed spending time with his family.
A celebration of Norman's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 27, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Scott Ritz officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home and request that everyone dresses casual in their favorite sports team apparel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County. Condolences for the family may be expressed through www.zecharbailey.com
