Not sure what to say?

Dear Dad-
You left too soon. You are the most courageous and honorable man I have ever known. You are a prime example of what unconditional love and selflessness are all about. All of us children were treated equally in every regard, an amazing feat for anyone to accomplish. I will do my best to honor you by working hard, helping others, and holding my head up high. You always said, "blood is NOT thicker than water" and " a family name is just a name". Families are built on love. You...

Norm's friendship and guidance over the past five years is a gift that I will cherish for the rest of my life. As my supervisor for four years, Norm constantly challenged me to grow both personally and professionally. His passing leaves me with a profound sense of loss.

My deepest sympathy and prayers to the Dent Family. To Norm I salute, respect and love you as a friend. You were the most postive person I've ever known, and I can only hope some of that has stayed with me. We had some great times in Kent when we were room mates and I thank you for your friendship. I'll never see a golf club, Edsel, Corvette or Thunderbird that I won't think of you.

I had the priviledge of having Capt. Dent as an ROTC instructor at the University of Akron in the early seventies. He was more than a teacher, he was a mentor and a friend who imparted not just military science but life lessons to his young charges. My sincere condolences to the family for their loss.

I had the honer to know LTC(R) Dent not only during his A/D time but also upon his second life during retirement. He always conducted himself professionally and was a true soldier. He will be missed. I send my deepest sympathy to his family.

I have worked with Norm for a long time. We were together in Kuwait for a brief time as well. He will be sadly missed by myself and his co-workers. God Bless you Norm, your suffering is over now.

I never meet Norm in person, but worked with him by phone for 6 years. Norm was always very knowledgeable and very helpful. He was always easy going and fun to talk to. He will be very missed, and may the heavenly father give his family the strength and peace of mind to get through this very hard time.

I knew Norman at Kent State University. He was a good friend. He was very talented. He repaired my car. After I graduated, he visited my spouse and me. I lost track of him after he married and moved as the military opted. Please accept my condolences on your loss.
