Not sure what to say?

Today, as I am going through some records, I found my business card for Dr. Dishotsky. Thinking to reach out to let him know how unbelievable helpful he had been to me many years ago, I was devastated to find he passed in September. As I read his obituary-it was obvious to me that it captured the qualities which I was privileged to experience. What I appreciated the most is that he broke the mold of 'standing back and inviting patients to sort out their problems with some input from him'. ...

My best to all his family. Norman was a friend and mentor in the late 60s, as he was for a broad cadre of "hippie" friends in SF, helping me in both self-discovery and enjoyment of the freedoms of the day. We all remember the improbable leaps of his humor, but his kindness, always wrapped in the wryest terms, was even more appreciated.

Dear Jon, I´m so sorry to hear about the loss of your wonderful father. Knowing about him and his life explains so much about you. Time passes and life changes but you, your family, the Starcity founders, and the remarkable Starcity staff will always live in my grateful heart. I must also include your father who I thank for creating a son like you. From Your Friend, Deano

I have never met such a brilliant scholar, curious, informed doctor and philosopher. Athletic and funny. Caring and loving family.

To the family of Norman Dishotsky: On behalf of the Administration, Faculty and Staff of Queens College, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dear loved one. May he Rest in Peace,
