Not sure what to say?

Dear Buck and family,
So sorry to learn of the passing of Norman. He was a good trooper and friend. You and your family will remain in our prayers.

Dear Tammy and family: I'm truly sorry to hear about your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. May the Lord give you all peace and comfort. Love, Felicia Jones McMillan

I know that trooper Dowdy was a fine man, a real patriot, and has a wonderful family. He will be missed, and we all loved him dearly. As he told me "old soldiers never die, they just fade away". And, i await my day to join him and the others.

I worked with Norm on special assignments in our earlier years as troopers. A professional trooper he was. My prayers are with your family. Ret. Tpr. Jimmy Howery, Floyd, va.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Cecil also retired from VSP and remembers Norman as being "a good one".

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Tammy and Family,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I pray that God will comfort you during this difficult time and in the days ahead.

Mrs. Dowdy, Sandy, Buck and Tammy,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Just know he's in God's loving hands now and will have no more suffering. I always respected Trooper Dowdy, and enjoyed the times bringing my children Trick-or-Treating at your house. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May God be with you during this time of loss.

Norm will be greatly missed by all of his old friends from the Virginia State Police. The VSP was an important part of his life and he did his job well.
