Not sure what to say?

Norm was one of my favorite bosses, he will always live on in my heart and mind. My condolences to Liz, Matt and Willie.

We are very saddened to hear about Norms passing. He was such a special guy to us and to all who knew him. He will be truly missed. Our condolences to all in the Eggen family and our thoughts and prayers go out to you as well.

My granddaughter and I were visiting California several years ago and we just "happened" on a wonderful Bar-B-Que place in San Luis Obispo. Imagine my surprise to find that the owner was one of my favorite cousins, always known to me as Dick Eggen. Beth and I had a nice lunch, a wonderful visit, took lots of pictures, and really enjoyed our surprise visit. A couple of years later, my friend Arlene and I stopped at the restaurant (on our way back from San Jose) and were treated to another...

When the news of Norm's passing became known to those of us who were his friends and classmates years ago in Simi Valley, it was amazing how many comments and fond memories of Norm poured into our FB page. Eventhough most of us had not seen him in 40 years or more, the impression he left on each of us is a testimony to a truly "good guy". Our sympathies are with the family but what a wonderful legacy he has left you.

Norm was a wonderful warm caring person and we have fond memories of his warmth humor and genuine love of people. We were so fortunate to have known him and his three childrenn and his family. It is indeed so sad to lose a loved one but cherish the memories and know that we are thinking of you at this very difficult time. He was very every special.
Much love from Jo Ann Denbow and Bill Horning Kyle and Kara

So sorry to hear about your dad's death. What a fun man. I knew him in so many different ways. As a teacher, a great deli owner and a wonderful loving father. My prayers are with you of comfort and love. Sincerely, Jackie

I am sorry for your loss. I took Norm's "Meats" class and lab at Cal Poly and thoroughly enjoyed his teaching style. I also knew Mary, as I joined the SLOPD in 1980 and would often times see her at the General Hospital ER when we took people there to be treated. Norm and Mary's kids were also in Xanadu multi-age preschool lab at Poly, which I was involved in and I was assigned to Mathew and Elizabeth, so I know how much Norm and Mary loved you kids. William, you were just a baby at the...

Truly a man of character and conviction. I witnessed first hand his incredible love and devotion to family one afternoon in a moment that I will remember all my days. God bless.

Deepest condolences, love, and prayers for Eric and all of Norman's family.
