Not sure what to say?

Dad has been gone for 13 years now. His wife Betty is gone, sister Delores is gone, and son Lonnie is gone. His was the greatest legacy: a career military man with a Silver Star, Bronze Star, and numerous awards of the Purple Heart from WWII injuries in the Pacific. He loved his country, his God, and his family. The writer is 74 with cancer and look forward to being with him again. While I strived for it, I could never be the man that he was.

To Uncle Norm, from one Air Force retiree to another (with apologies to Pilot Officer Gillespie Magee):

"Oh! You have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And dance the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward you climb, and join the tumbling mirth

Aunt Betty, Gary and Lonnie - so very sorry for your loss. Our Dad had great admiration for his big brother, and all his siblings. Delores is heartbroken over her loss. With great sympathy - the southern California Ericksons.

My sincere thoughts are with all of Norms family. I remember the beautiful stained glass window he did for Tom and Delores when they lived in Lake Havasu, NV - Blessings - Doris Erickson

Dear Betty, Gary and Lonnie:
I was so sad to learn today of Norm's passing, my sympathies to you and all your loved ones for your loss.

Lonnie, I really enjoyed having the chance to get to spend some time with you at Tom & Delores 50th anniversary a few years ago.

Take care, all.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

A loving husband and father, a man who so willingly gave so much of himself to those he knew and loved. A man of great strength and dignity, a man I felt privileged and honored to have in my life, and my life was made better by knowing him. You will be missed but not forgotten.

I shall miss his quiet strength and dignity. He lead by example.

A fine talented family man, and what a wonderful family. They are dear to us and it was priviledge to know him.
