Not sure what to say?

I always remember Norman Gottlieb as a man of great humor.
As children, he would regale us with bedtime stories taken from the Scarlet Pimpernel.
After graduation from high school in Arizona, I returned to Flint for a summer. I encountered Norm on the street where, after exchanging pleasantries, he handed me a $100 bill and instructed me to spend it all in one place.
He drove a Jaguar!

I met Norman when I was about 17 working during college breaks in the summers and holidays. He was an amazing man and made me laugh. We stayed in contact from time to time throughout the years with a funny card here or a witty note there. I have many happy memories working for him and hearing about his family and latest episodes. I'm thankful that he came into my life, because he brought me joy. He will be missed by all who knew him and was loved by many.

I grew up in Flint until my parents whisked me and my siblings to Arizona in 1965. I had fond memories of Norman as a child. He had an incisive wit and was wholly animated. He will be sorely missed.

Sorry to be hearing about Norman's passing. After moving to Arizona in 1965, I returned to Flint for the summer following high school graduation. I was working washing dishes at a hospital. I encounters Norman on the strret downtown and after an exchange he took out his wallet and handed me a hundred dollar bill saying "Spend it all in one place."

Dear Lisa and family,
Norman sounds like a man who took all of life that he could and lived it to the fullest! What a beautiful person! I am sorry for your loss.

Lisa and Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful description of your father, who obviously was a loving, caring gem of a man.

Lisa I'm so sorry for your loss

Siri, Maisie & Aaron, thinking of you all at this time. What a lovely account of your father (grandfather's) life!
