Norman Cecil Haynes

As a student at De La Salle. "Cecil" was among my favorite students I'll never forget being at a party at the Haynes' home in Jackson Heights where this little white boy held his own dancing to the Temptations,Four Tops and other groups we loved at the time.Cecil and I bonded over sports track for him basketball for me but went our separate ways after graduation.Reading his biography made me proud to have known him and more proud for him and his family over his life's accomplishments.Rest in...

Carried fond memories of Cecil over the years.I'll never forget his gracious parents who hosted one of his birthday parties which included De La Salle schoolmates.Although we were not especially close, we had admiration and respect for each other.He was truly one of the "Good Guys".

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed.
