Norman Holmes

The best teacher I ever had. Our graduating 5th grade class got him an authentic Brooklyn Dodgers Jersey. I´ll never forget his reaction. I still know all of my state capitals because of him. May he Rest In Peace. I will never forget you Mr. Holmes.

You were my favorite English teacher at P.S. 41. You loved James Thurber and gave us lessons out of the Reader's Digest. My grandchildren go there now. God bless you. You were the best. R.I.P.

My sincerest sympathy to all the Holmes family. Mr. Holmes was my favorite teacher during my seventh grade year at PS 41. I would look forward to his English class every day. His breadth of knowledge, enthusiasm for literature and infectious good humor are embedded in my forever memory. I grew up in Grant City and would occasionally spot Mr. Holmes and wave hello. May you find comfort in all your cherished family memories.

My deepest sympathies to Allison. Even though I never had your father as a teacher in PS41, he taught me something very valuable personally that I remember to this day. He really was a great man.
