Not sure what to say?

Dear Sybil,

Ellen just sent us the above (which I received while we are in Israel) and I want to express my condolences to you and all the family. I remember having met you both on my first trip to Kansas City to visit dear Aunt Sister more than 50 years ago, his and your support during the difficult time for our family as she gallantly struggled with her illness, and how nice it was to renew the friendship with you years later in my own 'museum years'. Although he will be sorely...

I met Norman and Sybil at the Nelson Atkins Museum only a few weeks ago. Unfortunately for me, I never had the pleasure of an introduction prior to this event. Even thought it was a brief meeting, I was inspired by him, as well as the kindess and thoughtfulness shared by both he and his wife. Mr. Kahn will be missed in this community. Jean-Paul Wong

To Sybil and Family we offer our sympathy, I go back a long way with Norman and I've always admired his many successes, he will be missed by all who knew him. Milton & Shirley Gordon, Sarasota, FL.

Mr. Kahn was a much beloved neighbor and friend of everyone of us who calls Oak Hall our home. He and Mrs. Kahn have inspired many of us. Mr. Kahn's collegiality and thoughtfulness will be missed, but his charming smile and kind demeanor are branded in our memories forever. He and his entire family will be constantly in my thoughts and prayers.

I never had the privilage of meeting Norman in person, but seemed like I knew him well as Jessie (Buckler) my daughter told me of his stories and of his interest in the arts. He reminds me of my Dad, loving his work and being involved in everything until he passed away. He left a legacy to all those who knew him and loved him. Rest in peace Norman, as you can know that you did make a difference in the world and will be missed by all those you touched in life. My thoughts and prayers to all...

I am a better man for having know Norman Kahn. He will be greatly missed by many.
