TO MARGARET AND THE KAY FAMILY, I'M SO SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR DAD. I HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF YOUR FAMILY THROUGH THE ST.THOMAS YEARS. GOD BLESS YOU.
MARTHA MCCARTHY (GRAND RAPIDS)

Kay Family,
I have fond memories of Uncle Norm and his brood...playing ping pong in Uncle Larry's basement, mostly with Patrick...bodies everywhere in their formal living room singing Christmas songs to Aunt Karen's accompaniment on the piano...swimming in the pool during the summer at their house on Blueberry Ave. The tears will dry up, the hurts can heal, and the wonderful memories need never be forgotten.

I, too, knew your Dad for over 35 years, meeting him for the 1st time around 1974 when he opened the EGR pool at 5:30 am. I swam there with Norm, Marti & Fred until the time I retired to NC in early 1996. I had a lot of laughs with Fred celebrating birthdays and other happy occaisons. He had a fine sense of humor but I never experienced the Irish ballads referred to in the newspaper today. Norm was a fine person and I will miss him. I am sure all of you will too.

What a wonderful and generous man your dad was! As so many have said, he was a ray of sunshine! Our friendship for the past 35 years has been a lovely gift and I will miss him very much. He was a good man with a wonderful sense of humor and a heart full of love. He was so proud to be the father of each of you and felt and knew he was a very lucky man. I send love to you each.

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioners of St. Francis Hospital, co-workers of Mr. Kay's daughter, Marie, wish to send their sympathy to all his family. You must be proud of such a great Dad!

Dear Nieces and Nephews,
Lots of love and prayers to all of you. Norm was my favorite brother in law for sure. He was always so pleasant with a glorious smile whenever I saw him. You have lost a great Dad, friend and cheerleader. He was so proud of every one of you!
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Aunt Karen
