While I was the director of Southern Illinois University Press I worked closely with Norman in the publication of his fine book on Missouri silver. He was an exceptional human being in every way, and I'm proud to have known him. John Stetter, College Station, TX

I will miss my Godfather. He was a wonderful man who gave without ever expecting anything in return. I was very lucky to have known and loved this man.

He was my Godfather and one of the people who told me I would succeed in life. I remember he always had a positive outlook on life. I know some of his life was very hard but he never let his attitude drop and he always came back, quite an inspiration to us all.
