Not sure what to say?

Dear Caryll - To you and members of your family, please allow me to extend my condolences. Your father sounds like a grand character, someone with wonderful enthusiasms and the ability to find true joy in his life with family and friends. How fortunate you are to have had someone of such fine sensibilities to add spice to your lives. Although you must certainly have wonderful memories, the feelings of loss only make those memories all the more precious. I am saddened for you in your loss....

I just happened to be on the New Mexican today because I lived in Santa Fe until 2002 and had many friends there. Norm and Ginny were our long time friends in W. Lafayette, Ind where my former husband taught in the Art Dept. at Purdue. I wish I'd known he was in Santa Fe, as I go back often. Condolences to all of you. You've lost a unique and wonderful parent. Judy Lewis Maestas
