Norman graduated from Dallas High School in 1948. My husband, Laverne A. Perry and I were also in that class. Although not related, Norm and Verne were close friends. They were both "stars" on the DHS basketball team. Norm and his first wife, Carol, were our witnesses when Verne and I married in 1950. Regrettably we had limited contact after high school.
