Not sure what to say?

Norm and I worked together at a special program established by the Kalamazoo Intermediate School District that served special needs children across southwest Michigan. We were also psychology grad students at Western Michigan University. Our young families became friends as well. Norm was a good friend and a brilliant student and scholar. I eventually lost touch with Norm and Val after they moved away from Kalamazoo. Even though I knew he had serious health problems, I was shocked when I...

I met Norm shortly after I joined the faculty at Western Michigan University in 1976. Norm was one of the first graduates of the Psychology Department's newly established doctoral program in behavioral psychology and I was fortunate enough to serve on his dissertation committee, along with Dr. Jack Michael, Norm's dissertation chairperson. I was amazed at Norm's depth of knowledge and his poise as he competed his degree. His work on disseminating B. F. Skinners analysis of verbal...

I met Norman through the Libertarian Party. Norm was a wonderful man. Tom

Val, David and Anna, I am deeply saddened to learn of Norm's passing. I enjoyed knowing him, working with him, and even being his student at WMU. He had such a wonderful sense of humor and I recall the many times sailing with him on Lake Michigan after a hard day working at Palisades. If was a few weeks before his passing that he and I chatted on FaceBook when he recommended we get together soon. I pray for peace and comfort for you during this time. I will miss my friend, Dr. Norm. Ron...

Norm and Val were so kind to my husband and I when we first moved to Michigan and didn´t know a soul. (Val and I worked together at the East Grand Rapids Library.) They invited us to their home for dinner one evening in 1983. Val made a delicious lasagne and Norm played his guitar for us. We send our heartfelt sympathy to Val, Anna and David.

Had the pleasure to know Norm for several years. He was kind and always willing to share his time and talents with others. Norm was one of the "good guys" and will be missed by many. Rest in peace Norm.

I am so very sad to hear of Norm's passing. My condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of working with Norm on the board of the Libertarian Party of Michigan and appreciate his dedication and effort. He will be greatly missed!

Single Memorial Tree

I never had the pleasure of meeting Norm in person. However, I did witness his presence on the Libertarian party board and noted the respect he was given by all members. He will be missed. Our party lost one of the good guys.
