Norman will be greatly missed by his Baltimore friends who live in the San Francisco Bay Area. He made regular visits out here and was the one person who kept in touch with so many of us and brought us together when he was here. He was a dear kind man to whom old friends were always important. I send my deep condolences to his family.

I send you my deepest sympathy, Pat. In my heart I am there sitting shiva with you. Norman was a good friend of mine. He will be missed from Baltimore to North Beach. He knew how to bring people together like no one else ever, and delighted in the quirks and nuances of life. He was a fantastic storyteller and a legendary contest-winner! I'm so very sorry to hear about Norman. He and I went to P. S. 14 Sidney Lanier School in Baltimore many years ago. My thoughts and payers are with Norman and his family.
