Not sure what to say?

A year on after Norm's passing he is still a topic of discussion at the Muni Golf Course. He is badly missed and well thought of. Miss you Buddy.

NORM WHEN WE WERE SO LUCKY TO MEET YOU AND YOUR BETTER HALF 50 YEARS AGO ON CENTERBROOK CAROL AND GARY HAD TOO MANY GOOD TIMES TO COUNT.THE BEST WAS OUR MONTH IN EUROPE.WHEN YOU KEPT MOVING AND SAID COME VISIT US WE WERE THERE CHICAGO MINN. CHARLOTTE THE ISLAND.MERINDA ALL OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.PEACE TO YOU AND FAMILY.

Mrs. Smith, (Merinda), I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Norman loved you very much.
I met Norman at Muni, and played golf with him several times. I really enjoyed our rounds together, and always looked forward to the next. It was a shock for me to hear of his sudden passing. I miss him. He talked about you often. I almost quit golf thinking how different it would be without him on the course, but I played yesterday, the 29th of May. I was not the same, but I have many good...

My deepest condolences to Merinda and Norman's family. My uncles Norman and Lowell were my heros when I was very young. Brave men who flew fighter jets, and told funny, slightly off color stories. Norman was very kind to me, and I'll keep him and the family in my prayers. God Bless. Buzz Feiten

He was a dear friend and neighbor to my
parents in SC and MN. He was an encouragement to me during Dad's, Buds illness. He would ride his bike over and spend time with Dad often. He would fill Dad's golf ball basket to continue that tradition, even to this May. He was an amazing friend, a man who showed the love of Jesus in his actions. In all he did and with whomever he shared a moment. He left an impression. His love for his bride and his kids was deep and loving. He would beam with...

I was shocked and saddened when I learned of Norm's passing upon my return from a road trip. It was early this morning when I arrived at the Muni when one of the "Rascals" told me the sad news. The first thing I look for every time I got to the Muni is Norm's Buick wondering what story I might hear from Norman's rich full life. He was truly a joyful person, fun to be around and he will be greatly missed. Tally ho and God speed my friend.

Dear Family: I was saddened today to hear that Norman had died. Norman and I played with the Rascals at Muni on a regular basis. I always enjoyed his friendship and sense of humor. I will miss both. My condolence to you in this sad time. May God's spirit comfort you. Sincerely, John Ollis

Merinda, words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. In recent years we have not been that close due to geography and my work schedule. In the last couple of years my free time was spent largely with me trying to visit and help with my dad, but that is no excuse. Since Lowell passed last August, Norman had been doing yeoman's work trying to help us settle dad's estate and for that I will be eternally grateful. I am sorry that I cannot make the services, but please know that you, Wain,...
