I sorry to hear of your loss. I too have fond memories of everyone on "the hill". I have told people about the "old days" when bowling pins were not made of plastic and the back wall of your garage was lined with pins for the fire.

Dear Mrs. Svela and family, My mother, Ruth, brother, Tim, and I, Ellen Schell, wish to send you our condolences on Norm Svela's passing. We have fond memories of all the nice people who lived on the hill (on Viewmont Drive) in the '50's, '60's and '70's with us. I remember the sisters as Pumpkin and Gigi. And, of course, Tim Schell was in the same year at Sunset as Don. I drive by the site of Norm's gas station every day on the way to work. Our heart felt condolences to your whole family....

So sorry to hear of Norm's death. He gave me my very first job with a paycheck at his Signal Gas Station. He was a really nice man.
