Not sure what to say?

Working for Mr. T. was like going back to college everyday but he paid me. It was my honor and pleasure to learn about life from him.
So generous to non-profits and employees past and present and yet he took pride in being so modest about it.
Loved to hear him tell the story of Route 287 being built through Morristown and how long it took.
A loss for Morris County and NJ.
Our thoughts are with Mrs. T, Kate, and family.

An honor and pleasure to have known Mr. Tomlinson. A font of wisdom and personal and professional role model.

I grew up reading the Daily Record, and my Dad, Munn Reynolds Dodd was a good friend for many years. My condolences to the family, with a long illustrious history in Morristown...Keep it going !

Norman B. Tomlinson, Jr. was highly respected, extremely intelligent and creative in journalism and his business pursuits. He was valued and appreciated by everyone around him. Mr. Tomlinson will indeed be missed. I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to Barbara, Kate, Roger and Daniel.

Norman hired me as a reporter in 1957. I worked with him for four years and enjoyed every moment. He has left a legacy that will live on. His instinct for excellence in journalism and right causes for the County of Morris and the State of N.J have been a major contribution to this legacy. And, with all of his success with the Daily Record and New Jersey Monthly, he didn't forget the communities in which he lived as well as other causes with his philanthropy. My condolences to Barbara, Kate...

To: Barbara and her Family and Friends -
Sincere condolences. May he Rest In Peace.

I shall always remember Norman as a sweet man. During my time as president of the Morris County Chamber, I would occasionally lunch with Norman at "his table." The conversation was always thought provoking, and the meal regularly ended with Norman taking a dessert home for his wife, Barbara. He was a wonderful husband and father, fairly judged by the competence and humanity of his daughter, Kate. A life well led.

My respect to Mr Norman Thomlinson Jr I am unable to attend the funeral due to my daughter in law being laid out the same day. I have worked with him for 34 years and will remember him always. Dell Jordan

My heart goes out to the family. I never knew Mr. Tomlinson, but I respected him for all he did for Morris County & the newspaper that was (and still is) my favorite. Both of my sons proudly delivered the Daily Record, back in the 1970s.

May he rest in peace.
