Norman E. West Jr.

Norman West offered a collage class that took place at Dyer Library in Saco in fall 1988. I, who had only painted in watercolor and knew nothing about collage, took his class. It was the beginning of a whole new direction for me, and to this day collage remains my main medium. I never met Norman again, but I've always remembered his class, benefited from it very much, and am sorry to learn he is gone. My condolences to all who knew and cared for him. We recently moved to the beach in Gloucester, MA and through a friend who owns a small studio in Ogunquit, bought this piece of artwork. Not sure this is the right "Norman," but if it is, I love this so much. Isn't it gorgeous!
