Not sure what to say?

I'm thinking of you and smiling Norm....I miss you and all you were to all of us!

Rest in Peace Professor. I will always remember the times we had sitting around tellng stories abut adventures in mining and of course some of them were BS. Ha ha he knows... you will be missed by many Uncle Norm, and forgotten by none.

I will miss Norm greatly and love him dearly. We would sit and play cribbage every day he was visiting in Haileybury, Ontario. What a pair we were teasing each other and pretending to cry when the cards didn't go our way. Hard to say what those that were listening thought, expecially when the game was over. The winner would be hootin and hollerin and laughing while the loser would cry and pout and swear revenge next time. We would go back and forth this way for days. I had made a trophy...

Norm (I called him Da) was my dear, dear friend for forty years. He taught me so much about joy, and patience, and intellectual curiosity. And I loved his laugh. I will miss him more than words can say.

Norm and Jen

Norm will be dearly missed and forever alive in my heart. I can not begin to thank him for all of the happiness he brought to my mom and our entire family...Some of my fondest memories of Norm were our trips to the antique markets, we would spend hours talking about the treasures and making friends along the way. Norm welcomed everyone he met with a handshake and a smile and was genuinely interested learning something about everyone....a beautiful quality to have. And goodness could Norm ever...

We are currently in Mexico and have discovered this news by way of the Herald Leader online and are astonished to learn of Norm's passing. Please accept our sincere condolences. He was clearly a remarkable man.

I'll miss visits with Norm and always interesting and thought provoking conversations. Life well lived.
