BEE & GRADY HUBBARD

Dear Kathryn,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I enjoyed knowing Norris and learned much from him. I have recently returned to Charlotte, and know what a great influence he had on the historic community. Many will miss him.

My sincere condolences,
Barbara Taylor

To the Preyer family: My deepest sympathies on the loss of your husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. I know he was well loved and will be sorely missed by all. May God hold you in the hollow of His hand... Love to all, Colleen Turnage, '76

Kathryn, we want to extend our deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear husband. We are so pleased that we were able to be with both of you recently at Ellen's party. He will be missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family at this time.
Love, Elizabeth & Walter

Kathryn & Janet...I am so saddened by the loss of Dr. Preyer. He was a dedicated teacher, who loved Queens, his students, his family, his church and the pursuit of knowledge. What a kind and gentle man! I pray for healing of spirit for you all.

Mrs. Preyer, Janet, Norris and families as you celebrate the life shared with your wonderful husband and father, I hope you will find comfort in the many friends who care so much for you.

Tal and Sara Henry have known the Preyer family thoughout Greensboro and Charlotte for many years. We appreciate Norris for his tremendous knowledge to all who studied his highly educated skills in teaching. To Katherine and the others of the family, we are sadden by his death, but are delighted for his gift in our country.

Kathryn,
Carolyn and I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to you and your family upon Norris's passing. I purchased his books and on occasion would hear his presentations at Mecklenburg Historical Association meetings. I enjoyed them immensely. Norris was a wonderful Presbyterian gentleman who represented the best of virtues and was an example to many younger...

Sorry to hear of Professor Preyer's passing. In 1967 I spent a week in the Preyer Infirmary at Davidson College, a gift from the professor's parents and in honor/memory of his Grandfather Richardson. (When you spend a week
in a place recuperating from illness, you have plenty of time to memorize
the tablets and plaques on the walls!)

I extend sympathy to the family and celebrate a life of accomplishment
and learning.

Sincerely,
Kenneth Hamilton
