Nourse Ferguson


GROTON  -  Nourse Allen “Buster” Ferguson, 77, of Groton has sadly passed away on Monday July 28th at Yale New Haven Hospital.


He was born February 27, 1948 in Bath, ME the son of Harold A. and Rebecca Elizabeth Batchelder Ferguson,  He is a veteran having served proudly in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Ferguson was presently working at the Navy Lodge in Groton where he had made many friends. He is married to Susan Foster Jessee Ferguson. His first wife and mother of his children, Doris Elfreda Dart predeceased him.  In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Maglionico and her husband Rob and their children Faith. Giovanni and Eliana, a son William Ferguson and his wife Susi and Williams son Joseph, step daughters; Tina Simoncini and her husband Paul and son Paul F., Tracy Daley and her children Alyssa, Ashley, John and Alex, his late son Richards children Kaylee and Sam, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws co-workers and many friends.  He loved and was loved by so many. In addition to his son Richard, he was predeceased by his sisters, Sharron Kaiko and Karon Nichols.


A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 8th at the Col. Ledyard Cemetery, Groton. Following the burial there will be a gathering at the parish hall of St Davids Episcopal Church, 284 Stoddard Wharf Rd., Gales Ferry, CT  06335 to share memories of “Buster” a name given to him by his sisters and their children.

To my co-worker and friend for many years may you rest in Peace. Nourse and i worked together managing Radio Shacks. We built a bond over the years that went beyond just colleagues. We were good friends and i am so sad to read of his passing.
