Nuala passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Nuala was a resident of Winchester, Massachusetts at the time of passing. Nuala will be lovingly welcomed home in Ireland by her Sisters and her many nieces and nephews where they will celebrate her life with a funeral Mass at St, Mary's Parish and she will be laid to rest with the other members of her family that went before her.
On the 17th December 1945 Nuala played for Waterford against Antrim in the All Ireland Camoige final at Cappoquin Co. Waterford. She was a substitute who played at full back. To morrow 6th August 2023, Waterford are back in an All Ireland final in Camoige for the first time since. An emotional day for our family. Well done Nuala, gone from us but well remembered. Today is St. Patrick's Day, 2019 and It still seems strange not sending good wishes to my longtime friend, Nuala. She was and always will be in my thoughts despite the many miles between us.
