Nugene "Geno" Pike, 43, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, from a work related accident.
He was a member of the Line Street Church of Christ and was a graduate of North High School. Geno was employed by Land O'Lakes Purina Feed. He was a fun-loving man and was loved by all whom he came in contact with.
Geno was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Seymore and Addie Dillard.
He is survived by his sons, David and Quentin Pike of Evansville; father, Saunders Pike; mother and step-father, Delores (Cooper) and Steven Hill; sister, Laquanda Pike of Evansville; brothers, Dr. Carlo (Jackie) Pike of Clarksville, TN and Malcolm DePriest of Evansville; grandparents, Fred Sr. and Percy Cooper of Evansville; grandson, David Pike II; fiancee, Shana Mays; and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 15, 2013, at Line Street Church of Christ, 756 Line Street. Friends may visit Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday from 11:30 until service time at the church.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Fred Jr. and Martha Cooper who helped to raise and direct Geno.

Geno was a member of our warehouse staff at the Tri-State Food Bank for several years. He was an outstanding worker...dedicated, hard-working, bright, honest. He had a great personality and smile. We eventually lost him to a better paying job. Gene was also a good friend and he will be missed.

To the family of Geno Pike. Words cannot express...Geno became part of our family a few years ago, thanks to my son-in -law, Marlon Robinson. He was a fantastic guy that left an impression(good one) on everyone he came in contact with. He will be greatly missed. We loved him, but God loved him more....

I sat next to Nugene at Vogeln & he was always so nice. Most of the boys were annoying at that age, but Nugene was one of the few that acted right. My condolences.

My heart goes out to Geno's Family, he was a really great guy. Geno meant alot to the boys that played baseball for him at South, espically the Fifth Third Baseball Team. Our boys had a great amount of love and respect for Geno. And of course always alot of fun with Geno. He helped out so many ways for the team and the park.
