Not sure what to say?

Dear Elsie,
I just learned today of the passing of Mr. Smith and was terribly saddened.
I will always remember his presence at Salem UCC as I was growing up and in later years.
He was always a kind and gentle man.
Although my mother, Isabelle Spahr,
is unable to express her feelings
to you, be assured she too is also saddened.
Please express by condolences to
Barbara and Billy.
Our prayers are with you and your family at this time of...

I was very deeply saddened to learn of the passing of O A Smith. I got to know "Smitty" when I first became employed in 1970 as a Probation Officer in Dauphin County. Elsie, Bill, Barb, & Family:

Your loss is immense, and felt by so many. What a warm, precious treasure of a gentleman Bill was.
Soon enough, I know your hearts will be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.
May the love of ALL your friends and family carry you through your grief.

Dear Mrs. Smith and Family,

I first met Bill at the Courthouse back in the late 70's and the man I met was always in good humor and was a complete gentleman at all times. When I later learned of his WWII experiences, I came to respect him in a whole new light. He certainly was a credit to his country, his community and his family.

God bless all of you at this time of loss.

Sincerely,

Our prayers and thoughts are with you, Elsie, at this time. We were fortunate to know you and Bill over the years at Salem, and he will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.

Elsie,

I'm am so sorry for your loss. May all the memories of more than 60 years of marriage, your family and GOD hold you and keep you strong.

My condolences are with your family.I remember Mr.Smith from church, and when he allowed me to interview him as a former POW, for my class report many years ago. He was a very kind man.
