On October 24,1956, Odell Rivers was born in Chidester, Arkansas to the Late Norman and Dotsy Rivers. Odell was loved by his friends and family. Odell was a member of Good Hope AME Church, where he attended with his family while growing up. Later he moved to Camden, AR. He attended school both in Arkadelphia, AR and Conway, AR.
Odell was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Dotsy Rivers, paternal grandmother Fannie Rivers, two brothers, Seth, and Willie Rivers, two sisters, Mary Jean Rivers, and Opal Smith.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories five sisters, Geneva Armstrong, Camden, AR, Mattie (Jacob) Smith Detroit, Ml, Shelia (Artemus) Tolbert Cleveland, OH, Udell ((Howard) Hamilton Deroit, Ml, Catherine (Connell) Muse Camden, AR; two brothers, Norman Rivers Dallas, TX, Walter (Carolyn) Rivers Dallas; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins’ friends and a special thanks to ONRC Staff.
Funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday, April 06, 2024 at Proctor Funeral Home with burial in Good Hope Cemetery.
