Read MoreI would like to share my condolences with this family. I wish I would have contacted Mrs. Mecker sooner but feel like a speck of sand on the beach, life does move on doesnt it? Please know I was touched by her daughter Patricia as a child and have always remembered Miss Mecker as a shining light that was lost too soon. I was one of Patricia's students when she was student teaching; she made an impact.

Odile left us with many wonderful memories of her cheerful personality and positive outlook on life. She was an inspiring aunt and an immense blessing to all of us now. She's at peace in heaven now.

As a relative by marriage I saw Odile periodically over 50 years. She was unfailingly gracious and friendly, showing a sincere interest in what others were doing. She was an accomplished and kind lady who will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to her family.
