Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Obituary

Olga Mendoza Reyes, 79, of Midland, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Ascensión, Chihuahua, Mexico, on December 7, 1945, to Paulino and Wenselada Mendoza, and was raised by Esteban and Maria Perez. Olga married Claudio Reyes on October 18, 1962, and together they recently celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Following their marriage, Olga and Claudio lived in Lansing, Michigan, for more than 40 years before returning to Midland. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and held a deep faith in the Blessed Mother.

Olga enjoyed playing bingo and dominoes with family and friends. She also delighted in bargain-hunting at local thrift shops. Most of all, she cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Claudio Reyes; four children, Elsa (Pete) DeLeon, Nicolas Reyes, SueAnn Reyes, and Amy (Ricardo) Rodriguez; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Esteban Perez. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Nicolas Marquez, and several siblings.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Visiting Angels and Heart to Heart Hospice for their support and kindness during this time of loss.
