Rose Buis Obituary
She was born on December 3, 1923 in Putnam County to Lemuel Blue and Dovie Akins Blue.
Rose was a 1941 graduate of Greencastle High School and had been employed at Mallory's, Torr's Restaurant and the Fairway Restaurant. Mrs. Buis was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland R. Buis; and nine siblings, Roy Blue, Cleon Blue, Jewell Blue, Bill Blue, Paul Blue, Ruth Hammond, Lucille Hutchison, Vivian Hough, and Julia De Nune.
Surviving are her children, Roland R. Buis and wife Belina of Hawaii, Karen Glock and husband Dr. Hugh of Greencastle, Claudia Graves of Goshen, IN, Billie Zeller and husband Mike of Effingham, IL, and Richard A. Buis of Columbia, TN; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services and interment will be private at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Putnam County Humane Society, or the charity of one's choice.

Sonny, Karen, Claudia, Billie Jo and Richard our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. My great aunt, June VonTress Priest, was telling me about Rose yesterday. She said they had been friends since birth! Aunt June is a lot younger, she will just be 87 years young in June, so that means that they have been friends for a very long time! Your family will be in my prayers.
