Not sure what to say?

Just still thinking of him and his extraordinary teaching!

I took two SU polysci classes with Professor Clubb. He has been in my thoughts these past 44 years since my SU days. Today for example, thinking of him, I googled him and just learned of his passing. He impacted my life in politics: Today I am special assistant to Charleston (SC) Mayor John Tecklenburg and still have a part of Oliver Clubb's passion for causes, in my thinking. Thanks kindly Oliver Clubb.

As a tenant in Ollie's home in the early 1990s I was fortunate to be a part of his life up close. I remember our meals together, the grilled tofu and kale salads. I remember his humor, his deep concern for his fellow humans and animals. As it is with great teachers, their lessons keep teaching us forever. A generous soul and most meaningful teacher of life.

In a meeting with colleagues, I mentioned Oliver Clubb as one of the most significant educators in my life, the one who modeled social justice education, passionate teaching, engaged scholarship, and the one who offered me the first opportunity to do meaningful research that changed my trajectory. I now teach in a master's degree professional development program for practicing P-12 classroom teachers, using many of the ideas and pedagogies that I learned from Prof. Clubb. May he rest in...

So sorry to see the passing of Professor Clubb. I took several classes with him back in the 80s. He inspired me to work more to do good work rather then try and make a lot of money. In that regard, I have worked many years for the environment in various projects around the US and South America.

During early summer 1978 the Solar Rollers rode through Syracuse on their ride from the not yet built Seabrook nuclear power plant to the Rocky Flats Colorado weapons facility. Oliver Clubb opened his arms and yard to some 25+ bike riders to spend the night. Thank you Ollie.

Ollie was my MA advisor in the late 1960's; a gifted teacher and good advisor, I felt privileged to have him as a mentor. These were the days when opposition to the war was slowly crystallizing as a national movement and he was in the forefront of it. I became his quick study. He dispatched me as the school's representative to a conference in DC; encouraged me in my struggle to research and write my masters' thesis related to US policy in SE Asia, and strongly lined up with me in a somewhat...

Many years ago when I opened my massage center. Ollie was instrumental in helping to formulate the name. Thanks to him and Gloria Cox, we decided to use the name, Delphi Healing Arts Center. Moving to the corner of E. Genesee and Wescott in 1985 was made easier by knowing Ollie. He was an inspiration to everyone that knew him. He will be missed in our community. My thoughts go out to his family and close friends. Joanne and John Verone

So sorry to read of Ollies passing. My condolences to the family. He was a gentle man
who truly cared about the earth and environmental issues.
May he rest in peace.
