Oliver Brenton Wolfe
Oliver Brenton Wolfe, 24, died peacefully on January 1, 2009, at his residence in Ivy, Virginia.
Oliver was born on April 16, 1984, in Augusta, Georgia. He was a 2002 graduate of the Covenant School and had attended the University of Mary Washington.
Oliver is survived by his parents, Brent and Rebecca Milam Wolfe; and his younger brother, Wynston Eric Wolfe of Ivy, Virginia. Cherishing his memory also are Brian and Jean Milam Wheeler; cousins Abby and Sam, Bruce and Laura Milam Keim, cousins Jessica, Nash, and Emily, the Honorable Joseph W. Milam and Katharine Warfield Milam, cousins Walton and Wallis, Calvin and Gabrielle Suydam Milam, Dr. James T. Milam and Jill Etheridge Milam, cousins Addie Lee, Mary Kate and J.T., Raymond and Judy Bader Wolfe, and cousin Sheldon.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Dr. Joseph Walton Milam and Calvine Pegram Milam, and Lt. Col. Raymond Otto Wolfe and Ingeborg Weiler Wolfe.
To each and every individual Oliver met and engaged with in conversation, he will be remembered as a warm and passionate soul who could challenge and uplift with his intellectual and sensitive discourses, debates and musings. He could spend hours discussing the princi-ples and nuances of music, art, literature, religion, philo-sophy, poetry and politics as well as offer detailed and insightful observations on the pugilistic and mixed martial arts. Despite hiding a pro-found pain and sorrow which he eventually succumbed to, he often lent an understanding ear and offered compass-ionate and resourceful advice and assistance to his friends and family at times of need. He leaves an overwhelmingly positive and lasting effect on us who were so fortunate to have known him. He is loved and will be sorely missed.
The family will hold a private funeral and a memorial at a later date to be determined.

Brenton was dear to our hearts. He genuinely cared about people. He was kind, funny, extremely bright and could talk a blue streak. He treated me as a real friend even though I was a generation older, being the mom of Jonathan, his good friend. He was a blessing. We will always hold him close in our hearts. We lift you up in prayer.

Love you bro and I’m so grateful for all the times we shared.
Dear Becky, Brent and Wynston, I look forward to seeing you all soon and want you to know that Brenton’s life blessed me powerfully and will continue to do so. I miss him, think of you, and try to lean into some of the things Brenton taught me… we can’t write scripts after all.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I graduated with Brenton from Covenant. He was always nice and will be remembered as being very outspoken with a great sense of humor in many of the classes we had together. He will be greatly missed.
