With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Olivia Salgado, a woman known for her compassion and uplifting energy. She passed away on March 19th, 2025 at the age of 54, leaving behind a void that can never be filled. She is survived by her husband, Michael Salgado, her children Miguel and Alina, and her beloved fur baby Zoey, her sisters, Viola Prado, Cecilia Lujan, Soyla Ortiz, and Brenda Ochoa and her brothers, Rick Ramirez, Raul Ramirez, Tommy Armendariz, Juan Ortiz, Robert Ortiz, and Ruben Ortiz and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother Guadalupe Armendariz Munoz, her father Angel Lerma Ortiz, and her brother Pascual Ortiz.
Olivia was a beacon of love, strength, and kindness. Her laugh could light up a room, and her abundant support and compassion touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She made each person feel seen and loved, and her warmth and wisdom were a guiding light for so many. Whether it was her cracking the funniest jokes or the small, thoughtful gestures she did without hesitation, she lived her life with a generosity of spirit that inspired us all.
While she may no longer be with us, her legacy of love and the beautiful memories we’ve shared will remain in our hearts forever. She will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to guide us.
Visitation will be held at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home & Chapel on Tuesday, March 25th, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025 at 10:00 am. Lunch will follow at Pueblo Viejo in Midland. 104 S. Terral
