Ollie, you were so much a part of my life as a child. Both in your movies as well as riding on your trains at your ranch in the mountains. I still remember riding on the E.Marie! I also remember watching you drawing Sir Hiss and many other Characters from your Wonderful Disney Productions. You and Frank Thomas encouraged me to draw and create. While I did not go into animation as a career, I will always remember the "Uncles" that treated me to a great childhood filled with adventure and...

A "legacy" is something of a permanent nature left behind for those who follow.......I am deeply moved by all of us, across the U.S. and worldwide that were touched by Ollie's work.........eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.....may he rest in peace.

I grew up with your movies and they are classic after their time. you will live on in them and in the generations of kids who will treasure your films.

Thank you Mr Johnston for my childhood memories. You made me smile, cry, laugh, over and over again, thank you. I wish I could have told you this while you were still with us. God Bless you and may you rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Ollie Johnston's family. The world was a better place because of him and his talents. He and the other Disney animators influenced me and countless others to see the beauty around us. Rest in peace, Mr. Johnston; you will remain sweet in our memory.
