Not sure what to say?

9/2/2015 Dear Family, Friends and students of Mr. Threadgill; I extend my belated condolences to all of you. I transferred to FHS as a senior in 1976 (class of 1977). Mr. Threadgill was my favorite teacher and I'm sorry I didn't keep in touch over the years. He taught us about the concept of "Spaceship Earth" and the importance of our one and only planet... that we need to get along and take care of our planet. I will always remember him and his positive, encouraging light and hope to do...

Thank you for being a great teacher Mr Threadgill. I'm still learning the lessons you tried to teach me 20 years ago. Some of them are finally sinking in.

He was my all favorite teacher and I have thought of him so many times through the years. I hope his wife remember Elaine, who baked her a chocolate pound cake in 1979. So sorry for your loss.

Dottie, So sorry to hear about Rix, and you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I wish we could have spent more time together as cousins, but I remember foundly our times at UMS. I deeply admired him as a person of the highest integrity.
God Bless,
Robbie & Pat Baldwin

Dot, I was so sorry to learn of Rix's death. He was an inspiration to all who knew him, not just through teaching, but how he lived his live. Teaching with him was a joy. My brothers always said he was their favorite teacher. Prayers for you and your family. I miss running into you at the grocery store since I moved to NC. Much love to you all.

Dot I am so sorry to hear about Rix passing. I am praying for you and the kids. He was such a joy to work with as a teacher and a friend.

My thoughts are with you this week. I was blessed to get to know your family during my high school years & to have such an inspiring teacher.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Threadgill was not only my favorite teacher, but my favorite neighbor as well. Being an only child, I was overwhelmed and a little jealous of all the activity and kids at the Treadgill household. I even learned to ride a bike at his house. I already knew that Mr. and Mrs. Threadgill were outstanding people by the time I reached high school. However, he exceeded any expectations I had as a teacher. He was the first to treat us as people, not kids. I will never...

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family during this time of sadness. My thanks to Mr. Threadgill for being the kind of teacher our world needs today. He will be remembered because he made a difference! God bless you all.
