My beloved Omar,
I've missed you so much. You were like the brother I've always wanted but never had. Your light shined so bright and I know you're up there doing great things. You've always been an inspiration to me because you were so positive and so committed to your passions and doing what you love the most. You inspire me to continue to pursue my passions. You've truly made an impact on my life and I'll never forget that. My sincerest condolences to your family. I'll never forget how you, your family, and your friends all welcomed me with open arms when I visited you in Miami. You're truly a great person. You'll always be my brother in spirit. Words cannot express how I feel. I'll always remember you. You'll always live inside my heart.

Months have past since your accident, but the pain still remains... Just the thought of you gone brings the rush of tears back. I hope you know how much I love you, and how much you have touched my life. A life that will never be the same. You were taken too soon, but I hope you are in a better place. I miss you, I love you, I want you back. But that's not how it is and you always tried teaching me that.
You always just accepted how things were and either adapted or worked around it. But you always did what you had to do.

I remember when I first met you at FIU. It was Delio, Elisa and I. You were this happy individual whom was full of life. You enjoyed life and that's one of the many things that I admired about you. Hilda, Fernando and Tatiana, our hearts break for you. It is so obvious that Omar had already given the world very special gifts during the time that he was with us. He is so fortunate to have been blessed with a family who gave him so much love and I know that he returned that love in equal measure. Please know that we will be lifting your family up in prayer during the weeks and months to come. There are so many people who are praying for you. Your family is surrounded by love and covered with prayers. We personally pray that God will send his angels to sustain each of you through this difficult time. Omar's legacy lives on.
