Not sure what to say?

Omar was my best friend in junior high (Huntsville Middle School). He had such a great sense of humor. We made jokes all the time about class. We even collaborated on funny topics for essays the teachers assigned. My family moved before 9th grade and I ended up going to Butler High School. I never saw him after that. But Omar was such a good friend when we were young, I looked him up on Facebook and found a link to this page. I am so sorry for his passing. The world has lost someone who could...

Omar was a great friend to me while we were in seminary in Orlando. He reached out to me, he was authentic and a man who taught me how to be selfless. We laughed together, prayed together and I just enjoyed being around him. We made it a point to grab lunch together on a weekly basis. I do look forward to see that smiling face again.

So sorry to hear of Omar's passing. I knew Omar in high school and he was such a sweet and kind person. I am so glad to have known Omar. My sincerest sympathies are with his family.

From another HS friend, just recently learned of Omar's illness, so sorry to hear of his passing. God IS with you all!

My deepest thoughts and prayer of soothing and strength go out to all of Omar's family and friends. I was friends with Omar in High school and not a kinder soul nor more sincere human being have I ever known. His smile and beautiful warm eyes would make anyone feel better just by being with him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Nuwayhid family now and always.

Words cannot express the grief and loss all of his loved ones are feeling. Omar was a gift to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in Peace with the Lord.

I know there are no words that will take away the pain of losing Omar, but where words fail, the Holy Spirit intercedes with groans too deep for words....Our hearts are broken for you and we are praying for each of you for the comfort and strength and everything else that God knows your hearts need. Since Faith first began supporting you as missionaries, you have been in our prayers and we will continue to lift you up!

Omar was one of my closest childhood friends. Whenever I think of my childhood, I think of Omar. We played in our neighborhood together, during school, and during college times. Even in our later years, we remembered all of our happy times together as children. I am grateful to Omar for his friendship and love. My heart breaks for his family, Mervat and his sons, and his mother, and all his family. But I know that he is at peace and in a happy place now. He made many of my days happy...
